Ironman treadmills

Ironman treadmills are gaining popularity as they have a good range of models to offer. This brand is offering treadmills that belong in the low to mid-priced range category. Ironman is another brand owned and manufactured by Keys Fitness, a company located in Garland. Keys still manufactures their treadmills in the US but now sources most of the components from overseas. Keys also own the CardioMax, Alliance, HealthTrainer and Encore brand names.

Ironman treadmills are usually low to mid-priced machines. They range from as low as $800 to as high as $1,500. But they also have a few premium treadmills that are priced for $2,000. It’s the cheaper models that offer the best value for money. You get a lot of features for your money, the build quality and overall finish is somewhat lacking when you compare it with some other brands. Main features of these treadmills include large 2.5″ diameter rollers, .6 – 10 mph speed range and up to 12% incline. They also fold up for easy storage. The warranties on Ironman treadmills are quite decent:  lifetime frame warranty, 10 years on the motor, two years on parts and one year labor.

Ironman offers a range of products from Ironman envision to Ironman  150t. Ironman Envision treadmill is a good machine with a 3.0 CHP motor that comes with a lifetime warranty. Other features include a Targetzone deck cushioning, an easy fold up design, and a LCD TV screen with mp3 plugin.

Other available models are Ironman edge treadmill (2.5 CHP motor), Ironman Legacy Folding TV treadmill, Ironman Inspire treadmill, 320t, 220t and 150t. That gives a good range to choose from.

Overall Iron man treadmills offer good basic quality of machine for your money when you compare it with other treadmills in the price range. These cheaper models are usually an excellent bargain when sold at a discounted price. Other brands to compare would be Nordic track, Horizon and Smooth.

Epic treadmills

Epic is an older treadmill brand that was recently relaunched and is sold mainly through large retail stores like Costco. Epic treadmills are a popular low cost brand sold in Costco stores

The most well known of all the epic models is the Epic T60 treadmill. The Epic T60 is doing quite well in home treadmill reviews and was recently classed as a “best buy” in the $ 500-$ 1000 price range in a Treadmill Doctor review. The Epic T60 has been rated quite highly by reviewers for being an affordable discount treadmill, suitable for beginners. It has a 3HP motor and allows speeds of up to 12mph. Epic treadmills generally offer an outstanding 12-year warranty on the motor, but only 90 days on the rest.

The company offers another popular model Epic view 550 MX treadmill which is reviewed and rated as best buy by a consumer magazine. This model has a built-in, 7″ TV with multi-color, on-screen display and Intermix Acoustics in addition to a powerful 3.0 CHP motor and a 20″ X 60″ commercial tread belt.

People have doubts about the quality of Epic treadmills. The build quality is not quite as good as some of the other treadmills, but it really depends on what you want out of your exercise machine. For the price, Epic treadmills are reasonably dependable and will last for a fair period of time. If you want a high quality treadmill that lasts for years you will have to pay more. Before purchasing an Epic treadmill, investigate other brands and research the various models that are available to you. Nordic track treadmills and Horizon treadmills have a good range of treadmills. For more information on what to look for in a treadmill, refer to treadmill buyer’s guide.
