The Cardiovascular system is the system that circulates blood throughout the body. The benefits of cardiovascular fitness are much more than strengthening the heart. It also has a number of psychological benefits; it will make you feel energetic, happy and strong. Cardiovascular exercises increase the blood flow in our body which in turn also increases the number of red blood cells. Red blood cells are responsible to transport oxygen through out our body.
That is one of the reasons why intake of calories is counted while on a weight loss program. Calories burned should be more than the intake.
The metabolic rate of our body also gets increased, calories get burned faster even we are at rest.
